Moon Salutation
Instructor: Mia Taylor
Media Type: Video
Practice Level: 4,5
Benefits: Strengthening, Energy, Muscle Toning, Stress Reduction
Running Time: 45 min
Description: Chandra Namaskar is a way of honoring the cooling energy of the full moon and enlivening our inner receptivity to these energies. These moon salutations are variations based on the Kriya Yoga tradition and are a way to bring balance to an overdrawn system. The moon’s energy is the energy of cultivating balance and the expression of our nurturing qualities. Initially in the practice, Mia guides you through some gentle warm-ups then graduates to several series of moon salutations. This practice is for the experienced yogini or yogi, as the salutations are fluid movements. However, as with any practice a beginner can try it but remain mindful of the temptation to overdo it. Use visualization if you cannot see the moon! Namaste~
