Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I)
Description: Based on Warrior II, this demanding posture produces a backbend and calls upon our entire body to participate.
Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II)
Description: Named after a legendary warrior sage who is said to have one thousand heads, eyes and legs.
Lunge Pose (Ardha Mandalasana) - [ar-dha-mahn-dahl-ahhs- anna]
Description: This pose prepares the lower body for all other standing lunges, including Warrior I and Warrior II. It develops strength and stamina, as well as flexibility.
Dancer’s Pose (Natarajasana) - [na-tara-jahs-anna] - Nata = dancer: Raja = lord, king
Description: This pose develops concentration and balance. It tones and lengthens the leg and hip muscles.
