i feel i have low self confidence eventhough i am good at many talents. i start a new thing, i do good at it. People tell me that i am more than good for someone who just started. i feel good and think that i should continue doing it. but after few weeks i just stop doing it and start doing something totally new.
i have been doing this for several years now. i am not able to stick to one job either. Because of all these thing i feel i am a total loser in life.

can anybody suggest me what type of yoga or meditation i can do to stabilize my mind and channel my energy in one direction.

Hello to You!

The word Yoga means “to unite.”
What exactly are we to unite?!

You, dear Heart, have all these pieces of your many accomplished “selves” floating around. They probably don’t feel connected or “completed” in any way to you. These “pieces of you” simply haven’t been drawn together yet – they’ve been preparing. This could be why you want to explore the world of yoga and meditation.

Answer this for me so further guidance can be clear:
How honest are you willing to be with yourself?

The science/art of Yoga exists to help us recognize our extremes and imbalances – mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. With daily study and practice, we begin to merge and refine all parts of our self. We begin to toss out activity, words and feelings that don’t harmonize with our own essence – the truth we feel deep in our hearts.

Your heart just hasn’t been tapped yet. I wonder if you get downright bored after a while.
Feel unchallenged. Or, don’t feel inspired to continue. That’s just your essence telling you
you’ve received all you can receive in that place. So, graciously Bow, thank the experience and move on. If you’re moving on out of fear … that’s another story.

What may be happening could look like this:
Set high standards for self = unconsciously set high standards for everyone and thing around. Experience low self confidence = more like sadness, disappointment, frustration and anger.
Feel like a loser = No! You are sincerely gaining. It just doesn't look like it to you.
Compete with yourself (and unconsciously with others) to excel = then why isn’t heart smiling?!

Thanks for taking time to think about this. Hope you’ll write back. This site exists to support you so you can channel all that beautiful energy of yours … into the place your mind, heart and body soar together.

Namaste,

Hi Jeneveve

Thanks for your answer.
whenever i think of trying something new, that thing is always at the back of my mind. i do little research on it and try to do my best. if the outcome is good i feel unchallenged and stop doing it.if the outcome is bad i try harder till i do better.

i know that doing good at something once doesnot mean that you have mastered that art.i would like to concentrate on one or at the most two things at a time & make it productive for me financially as well as mentally, rather than wandering from one thing to another. i have reached a point where i am frustrated.

I appreciate that you wrote back.

You may be done with frustration -- but it's not done with you. Sorry, I know
how frustrating that is.

Have you ever visited a Buddhist Temple or Zen Center?
Have you ever "sat" with Buddhists?
Your Mind might grab on to the focus techniques and philosophy Buddhism offers.
As you probably know, Buddhism is not a religion. It is a discipline! Like yoga.

Does your community offer such classes on meditation? Often, these sessions
are free of charge -- sometimes they ask a small donation. You’ll meet kind people.

How strong or limber is your Body?
Are you in good health physically?
If your body is as strong as your Mind (which is very strong) you might benefit from
Iyengar, Bikram or Power yoga. These styles will "work" or "sweat" frustrations right out of you!

You have TOTAL permission to do these styles for a while, do good, then stop.
But do them and do them well! Daily. One hour or hour and a half every day, if possible.

Begin digging ONE hole.
Start pouring meditation and yoga classes into it. Daily.
Put ONE FREE TRIAL WEEK of the YLC on-line classes into it.
(**IF your computer is on broad-band.**)
Just keep digging, pouring and "doing" into the same hole.
The hole can be wide. Your job is to make it deeper.

Leave sugar out! Or, cut WAY back if you eat a lot of sweets.

Namaste,

Jeneveve
